How we use your answers
In short: we don't ask for your name or any way to identify you. We only collect your answers to the survey, so we can understand what local people value about Chelmsford.
Who collects this information
Chelmsford City Council is responsible for this survey (the "data controller"). You can contact us at Chelmsford City Council .
What we collect
- Your answers to the survey questions.
- The date and time your answers were sent.
We do not collect your name, email, phone number, address, or your IP address. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising trackers on this website.
Why we collect it
To understand what residents value about Chelmsford, and to share those themes with the team designing the new public artwork. We rely on your consent (the tick box on the survey) to use your answers.
Who we share it with
Summarised themes and anonymous responses are shared with the artists and designers working on the sculpture, and with Chelmsford City Council. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep responses until and then delete them.
Where it is stored
Answers are stored securely using Cloudflare, a reputable cloud provider, under a data-processing agreement. The connection to this website is encrypted.
Your rights
Because the survey is anonymous, we usually cannot find or remove an individual response, as we have no way to identify which one is yours. You can still contact Chelmsford City Council with any questions about how we handle information.
If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
